The Taming of the Berkeley Pit

A short film that chronicles the construction in 2019 of a new water Polishing Plant in Butte, Montana that filters and cleans the acidic and metal laden mine water from the Berkeley Pit. The cleaned water is then dicharged into Silver Bow Creek and sent downstream. Because it is the initial stage of testing and perfecting various water treatment methods, this is also known as the Pilot Project.
